About
From Sao Paulo to Tierra Del Fuego and back up to the Galapagos with a dizzying number of traverses of the Andes en route, this bottoms up approach to the Latin American continent takes in Brazil Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. Having looked over the Iguacu Falls, headed south across the Pampas and the plateaux of Patagonia to the extremity of the Straits of Magellan at 55 degrees south, and finally squinted across to the South Shetland Islands, we start the trek north up the continents dividing range. Four of five traverses of the Andes are in store eventually but not before some time in the alpine and glacial valleys in the far south. With a series of criss-crosses between Chile and Argentina we’ll finally arrive at Bolivia return to ride the surreal Salar de Uni, and stand in Machu Picchu and then head on out to the Galapagos.
